Orientation, Identity Building, Core Counseling Skills & Mental Status Examination, Ethical Guidelines & Boundary Setting.

Core Skills & Theory

Counseling Basics (Rapport, Active Listening, Paraphrasing, Reframing, Summarizing). Introduction to major psychological schools of thought.

Clinical Assessment

Client Assessment Practicals (Roleplays, formulation, history taking). Risk mapping and triage for acute clinical presentations.

Wellbeing & Assessment

Psychological assessment practicals (Personality tests, intelligence testing, clinical scoring methods). Supervised case discussions.

Phase 2Recommended

Month 2–3: Advanced Practice

Deep specialization, real client work, and career-ready skills.

Advanced Modalities

Deep dive into CBT, DBT, and ACT frameworks. Case conceptualization using specific theoretical orientations.

Specialized Populations

Working with children, adolescents, couples, and geriatric populations. Nuances and specific interventions.

Trauma-Informed Care

Understanding PTSD, CPTSD, trauma responses, and integrating safety and stabilization techniques.

Supervised Practicum

Direct client contact hours under supervision. Live feedback, peer review, and continuous professional development.
